Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility

To be eligible for this program, all entrants must be at least 18 years old at the time of submission. If the entrant is under 18, they must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian. All entries must consist of original, unpublished musical works. Any submission containing unauthorized samples, copyrighted materials, or plagiarized content will be disqualified. This program is open globally, except where prohibited by law.

2. Submission Rights and License

By submitting a track, the artist confirms that they retain full ownership of the original work. Each artist grants WUFO, FMG, The Orchard, and the Barrington production team a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to review, evaluate, and publicly promote the submission in connection with this contest. If selected, the artist may be offered a separate license agreement for official inclusion in the Barrington film, its soundtrack, or promotional campaigns related to the film.

3. Payment Terms

Each submission must be accompanied by a non-refundable entry fee of $75. Artists may submit more than one track, but each submission must be completed separately with a full entry fee. Payment does not guarantee selection, placement, or prizes. Any financial compensation offered to winners is subject to tax reporting and legal verification requirements, including the completion of any necessary documentation.

4. Selection Process

All submissions will be reviewed by a panel consisting of FMG representatives, WUFO team members, and music supervisors working on the Barrington film. Selections will be based on originality, alignment with the film’s themes, production quality, and emotional resonance. All decisions made by the judging panel are final and are not subject to appeal.

5. Distribution Opportunity

For every 100 tracks submitted, 10 tracks will be selected for guaranteed digital distribution through The Orchard, a division of SONY Music, regardless of prize standing. Selected artists may be asked to enter into a distribution agreement with FMG and/or The Orchard.

6. Prizes

The Grand Prize winner will receive $5,000 in cash, official placement on the Barrington soundtrack, digital distribution through The Orchard, and artist development support. The First Runner-Up will receive $2,000 in cash and a confirmed spot on the soundtrack or a related digital release. The Second Runner-Up will receive $1,000 in cash and may be offered playlisting or consideration for future development opportunities. Additional artists may receive non-cash recognition or music distribution offers.

7. Film Appearance (If Offered)

In some cases, select participants may be invited to appear in the Barrington film in a non-speaking, background, or cameo role. Any such invitation will be offered at the sole discretion of the film’s production team. Participation in the film is optional and not guaranteed. All travel, transportation, lodging, and meal costs are the responsibility of the artist. The production team will not cover any expenses related to film appearances.

8. Indemnification

By submitting, the artist agrees to indemnify and hold harmless WUFO, FMG, The Orchard, and the producers of Barrington, as well as their partners and affiliates, from any legal claims, damages, or liabilities that may arise in connection with the submission. This includes, but is not limited to, claims of copyright infringement, misrepresentation, or violation of third-party rights.

9. Program Modifications

WUFO and FMG reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the program at any time without prior notice. If a technical issue or dispute affects the program's operation, the producers and administrators reserve the right to resolve the matter at their sole discretion.

10. Governing Law

These terms and the program are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved in the appropriate state or federal courts located in Erie County, New York.

Privacy Policy

Information Collection

When you submit your track to SubmitYourTrack.com, we collect your full name, artist name, email address, location (city and state), genre, and either an uploaded audio file (such as an MP3 or WAV) or a private streaming link. If you choose to pay via a third-party payment processor such as PayPal, your payment information is handled securely by that provider. We do not store your payment credentials or credit card numbers on our servers.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to process your entry, contact you about your submission, and evaluate your track for inclusion in the soundtrack or related promotions. If you are selected, your information may be used in promotional materials connected to the Barrington film and the SubmitYourTrack competition.

Data Storage and Security

Your submission and personal information may be stored in secure, password-protected cloud services or platforms. Access to submission data is limited to authorized members of the FMG and WUFO teams responsible for program administration and judging. Your data will not be shared or sold to unrelated third parties.

Your Rights

You may request that your submission and data be deleted prior to the end of the review period by contacting us directly. You may also opt out of future promotional communications at any time by using the unsubscribe option in emails or contacting our support address.
